Summer Demos in the Midwest

After returning to the Midwest in March, just in time to catch what was left of winter, I spent the next few months bringing glassblowing demos from Minneapolis to Marinette and throughout Michigan.

Along the way, I felt so much love for cannabis culture and met some wonderful new faces. One of the best parts was running into followers along the way and seeing them wearing pendants I’d made. It’s a special feeling seeing those pieces out in the world.

A few highlights were Seso Camp Out with my friend Ditto Glass, and Izzy’s private party in Ionia. Visiting the Shipwreck Museum on Lake Superior sparked the Relic Series, inspired by the history of wrecks scattered across the Great Lakes, and sharing those pieces became a special part of the summer.

This season also brought my first demos in Detroit, wrapping up last night at the Crazy Asylum.

Some demos were indoors, others had us out in the rain. Through all the elements, we made some fun pieces, shared stories, and connected over glass. There are too many people to name, but to everyone who stopped to watch, asked questions, picked up a piece, or just showed some love, thank you.

Here’s a collection of photos from the road, a little glass, a little Midwest weather, and some of the people and places that made this season what it was.

Sidenote: As I refresh the homepage for a new season, I’ll be sharing updates here and spending less time on social media. If you’d like to keep in touch, you can join the email list on the homepage. Muchlove
